PicToss Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the PicToss app for iPhone and iPad handles your information.

Last updated:

Who publishes PicToss

PicToss is published by DORIAQ, a French simplified joint-stock company (SASU), registered under number 130 190 663 RCS Béziers. DORIAQ is responsible for the processing described in this policy where it decides how personal data is used.

For any question about this policy or your personal data, email contact@doriaq.com. Company information is available in the DORIAQ legal notice.

In short

PicToss sorts your photos on your device. DORIAQ does not receive your photos, your album names or your sorting decisions, and PicToss has no user account. The app shows ads provided by Google, which processes some device and advertising data under its own policy. Purchases are handled by Apple.

Photos you allow PicToss to access

PicToss uses Apple’s Photos framework to show only the photos and albums you allow it to access. You can grant full or limited access and change it at any time in iOS Settings.

Photo contents, album names, capture dates and sorting decisions are processed on your device. They are not sent to DORIAQ and are not included in advertising requests. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may download images from iCloud for display, according to your system settings.

To estimate storage, PicToss reads the size of original files stored locally. It does not download iCloud originals for this and keeps no copy of your images.

Information stored on your device

To let you resume your progress, PicToss stores locally:

  • photo identifiers, your keep or delete decisions and their dates;
  • your preferences, such as appearance;
  • advertising reward credits and remaining ad-free time;
  • the estimated volume of photos you deleted.

Deleting photos

Marking a photo does not delete it. Deletion requires your confirmation in PicToss and through Apple Photos. Deleted photos remain in Recently Deleted according to Apple’s rules. If iCloud Photos is enabled, a deletion also applies to your other devices using the same Apple Account.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

PicToss displays ads provided by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): a banner below some lists, an occasional full-screen ad after you finish an album, and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch. No ad is shown after a Lifetime Ad-Free purchase or during rewarded ad-free time.

Google Mobile Ads and its consent platform use network services. Depending on your consent, your region, your device permissions and the enabled features, Google may process your IP address, an approximate location, device or app identifiers, advertising interactions, and diagnostic or performance data. Google uses this data under its own privacy policy and retention rules.

When required, a consent message is shown before ads are requested, and Ad Privacy Options in Settings lets you review your choices. PicToss does not ask for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Purchases (Apple)

Apple processes the Lifetime Ad-Free payment. PicToss checks verified App Store transactions to recognize, restore or withdraw the purchase, for example after a refund. PicToss never receives your payment card details.

Who receives data

DORIAQ does not sell personal data and does not receive data from the PicToss app. The only third parties involved are Google, for advertising and consent, and Apple, for the App Store, purchases and Photos services, each under its own privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Data stored by PicToss stays on your device until you reset your sorting progress or delete the app. Deleting PicToss removes its local data; device backups are managed by Apple according to your settings. Data processed by Google and Apple is kept according to their own policies.

Your choices

You can change or revoke photo access in iOS Settings, change a limited photo selection, reset your sorting progress in PicToss, review advertising choices in Settings when available, or delete the app at any time.

This web page and support emails

This page is part of the DORIAQ website, hosted by Vercel. The website sets no cookies, its code uses no browser storage and it includes no advertising trackers; DORIAQ’s institutional pages use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated, cookieless audience statistics, which this application page does not load. Hosting technical logs and support emails are described in the DORIAQ website privacy policy.

If you email contact@doriaq.com, DORIAQ receives your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach. It is used only to answer you and to follow up on your request. Please do not send photos or personal information that your request does not require.

Your rights

Because PicToss keeps your sorting data on your device, DORIAQ cannot see, export or delete it for you: use the controls described above. For data processed by Google or Apple, you can also contact them directly.

Under the applicable conditions, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of your personal data, object to its processing and request portability. Email DORIAQ to exercise these rights. Requests are normally answered within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL.

Children

PicToss is not designed specifically for children and DORIAQ does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy describes the current version of the app. If a future version handles data differently, this page will be updated before that version is distributed, and the date below will change.
